Regulations on the commissioning of independently produced South African programming in terms of sections 4 and 61(1) of the Electronic Communications act no 36 of 2005, read with section 4(3) (j) of the ICASA act no 13 of 2000.

The purpose of these regulations is to ensure that broadcasting services licensees submit commissioning protocols for approval; monitor the commissioning practices of independently produced SA programming; ensure fair; transparent and non-discriminatory commissioning practices
