Community Broadcasting Services Regulatons 2019 And Reasons

ICASA, in terms of section 4(3)(j) of the ICASA Act, 2000 (Act No. 13 of 2000), as amended ( "ICASA Act ") read with sections 4(1) and 5(7) of the Electronic Communications Act, 2005 (Act No. 36 of 2005), as amended ( "ECA ") hereby prescribes the Community Broadcasting Services Regulations in the schedule.

The purpose of these regulations is to provide operating framework for Community broadcasters; for registration, renewal, transfer, amendment of licensees; governance and management structures; principles of community participation. 
These regulations amend regulation 4(1)(a) and (b), Form A and Form B.of the Standard Terms and Conditions Regulations (as amended), 2010: repeals regulations 10A(2), 10A(7), 10A(8), 10A(11), 10A (12) and 10A(14)
