Icasa 2019 National And Provincial Elections Coverage Report

This report provides a detailed account of the extent to which broadcasting service Licensees covered Elections, giving effect to the constitutionally enshrined right of citizens to vote. The report draws on information and recorded material submitted by individual and community broadcasting service Licensees who elected to participate during the Elections process over and above the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), which is enjoined in terms of section 57 of the ECA to cover Elections and specifically broadcast Public Announcements and Party Election Broadcasts during the election period.
