Pretoria – The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) invites all interested stakeholders and the media to the press briefing to officially announce its decision on applications for individual commercial free to air television broadcasting services and the related spectrum licence.
Having engaged in extensive analysis of applications and further participation from other interested parties; ICASA has finally to come to a decision on this licensing process.

ICASA believes that the licensing of an additional Individual Commercial Free-To-Air Television Broadcasting Licence and Radio Frequency Spectrum Licence for 55% of MUX3 frequencies will stimulate competition and increase the variety of television broadcasting services available to South Africans.
