PRETORIA - The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (“the Authority”) will hold virtual public hearings in relation to the written representations received following the publication of the Draft Amendment Regulations regarding the Processes and Procedures for Applications, Amendments, Renewals, Surrender, and Transfer of Individual Licences in Government Gazette No. 46084 on March 24, 2022. The public hearings will be held virtually on September 14, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. (SAST).

The hearings are part of the Authority's process of revising the Regulations of 2010 and 2016 regarding the Processes and Procedures for Applications, Amendments, Renewals, Surrender, and Transfer of Individual Licences. “The changes are intended to improve compliance with the Regulations, as well as to streamline requirements and document submission to the Authority in accordance with market needs and developments” Cllr Mkumatela.

Interested stakeholders and members of the public are invited to attend the public hearings. The public hearings will be held as follows:
