ICASA conducts a public hearing in respect of the transfer of ownership and the transfer of control applications lodged by Dark Fibre Africa
2022-07-11The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (“ICASA/the Authority”) will hold a virtual public hearing in respect of the applications received from Dark Fibre Africa Proprietary Limited (“DFA”) for the transfer of various licences as published in the Government Gazette No. 46391 on 20 May 2022.

2022-07-01The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa invites all aspirant community television broadcasters to pre-register their licence applications. The Invitation to Pre-Register (ITP-R) was published on 30 June 2022 and can be downloaded at https://www.icasa.org.za/pages/community-tv-broadcasting-licences. The closing date for applications is 12 January 2023 at 16h30.

2022-06-22The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa is holding virtual public hearings in respect of the proposed amendments to the Numbering Plan Regulations, 2016, as published in Government Gazette No 46080. The hearings will take place from 23 – 24 June 2022.

2022-06-08The Authority will host a final virtual public workshop on 09 June 2022 in relation to the Invitation To Pre-Register (ITP-R) published on 15 December 2021. The workshop follows the re-opening of the licensing process for community radio broadcasting services and related radio frequency spectrum across the country.
