ICASA reopens applications for community radio and television broadcasting services
2021-12-01ICASA will reopen applications for both community radio and community television services. The new Invitation To Pre-Register (ITP-R) for community radio services will be issued no later than 15 December 2021. While the new ITP-R for community television services will be published in April 2022.

ICASA publishes the updated Information Memorandum for another round of consultation
2021-11-16ICASA has published an updated Information Memorandum (IM) for the licensing of the International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) Spectrum, for the second round of public consultation.
This publication of the IM is another critical consultative process ICASA is undertaking in the continued implementation of the truncated timetable and roadmap issued by the Authority on 1 October 2021 for the expedited licensing of the high-demand spectrum. The issuance of the initial roadmap was followed by the successful hosting of the IM workshop on 15 October 2021 to clarify all matters and to receive stakeholder comments on the initial IM.
