Retail Tariff Reports
Tariff analysis reports aim to ensure that end-users (customers) are aware of the various retail tariffs that are available or have been in existence in the telecommunications sector during specified periods within each report. Reports also provide an updates on initiatives which are currently underway in relation to tariffs. This ensures that there is retail tariff transparency, which could potentially encourage competition as it is likely to minimise pricing and product information asymmetries in the sector.
The aim of the reports is aligned to object 2(n) of the ECA which is to “promote the interest of consumers with regard to the price, quality and the variety of electronic communication services” as it seeks to ensure that there is retail price transparency.
